Cheer squad placement is determined by age as of July 31st. Age requirement is 3-14

Junior Tiny Mite - 3/4
Tiny Mite - 5/7
Mitey Mite - 7/9
Junior Pee Wee - 9/10
Pee Wee - 10/11
Junior Varsity - 11/13

WHAT TO EXPECT 
 The season begins with cheering at games for our DeLand football players. Some games do require local travel.
As September approaches, we begin to prepare for competition. Our focus is shifted on tumbling, stunting and dance.
The East Coast Conference Cheer Competition is annually held at the end of October in Daytona Beach.
If teams place in the top 2 at Conference then they will compete at Regionals which is held Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando. 
If teams place in the top 2 at Regionals they will compete at Nationals which is held the first week of December in Orlando. 

PRACTICE INFO 
Practices begin August 1st with teams practicing 10 hours a week (5 DAYS PER WEEK).
After Labor Day, practices will decrease to 3 DAYS PER WEEK. 

PRACTICE ATTIRE
 Athletic attire - shorts, leggings, biker shorts, t-shirt 
Cheer shoes 
Hair must be in a HIGH ponytail 
Water jug (water bottle is not enough)
PROHIBITED
NO spaghetti string tops, mid-drifts or denim shorts/jeans
JEWELRY OF ANY KIND - RINGS, EARRINGS, NECKLACES ETC. 
NO flips Flops
